Carhartt WIP cargo shorts offer a more utilitarian take on summer wear, seen in their tough yet lightweight compositions and multi-pocket designs. The range is available in a slew of fabrics such as cotton poplin, which is light and breathable, and mechanical stretch ripstop, which is robust and has water-repellent properties. Silhouettes also vary, with some styles cut in regular fits, such as the Regular Cargo Short, and others in slimmer ones, like the Aviation Short.

Like Carhartt WIP cargo pants, the selection of men’s cargo shorts is influenced by military and outdoor clothing. Closely resembling classic BDU (Battle Dress Uniform) items are the camo cargo shorts, which appear in new camouflage motifs each season. More outdoor-oriented iterations, meanwhile, are detailed with reflective branding and minimal zip accents.
